1) Gorgeous yurt with panoramic views and farm animals
Located on the east side near Powell Butte Park this colorful yurt is the perfect location for a fundraising event or end-of-year gathering. It’s located on a 5-acre hobby farm (featuring mini donkeys, alpacas, goats, and 🐷 piggies!) with panoramic views of Portland, and even has easy access to a trailhead for hiking on Powell Butte.
Special ways to engage donors on this property:
Take small groups of donors on a walk through Powell Butte. The casual but beautiful atmosphere will give you an opportunity to connect your donors with your mission on an authentic level.
Tip: If your nonprofit’s mission is environment/sustainability or animal focused, then being around nature and happy healthy animals is a great way to showcase why your mission matters so much. And of course, donors will never forget petting an alpaca at a fundraising event!
At about $13 per guest (if you fill the 50-person capacity), this event space is really affordable.
2) Cooper Mountain Cabin
Nestled within the trees, this beautiful cabin sits very close to the Cooper Mountain Nature Park in Southwest Beaverton. The space has a capacity of 12 which makes it perfect for hosting intimate donor events that will make your funders feel very special. Being in this space makes you feel like you’ve been whisked away to a faraway snowy mountain resort, but in fact, you’re just a short 4-minute drive away from a Dutch Bros coffee stand!
A unique way to engage donors at this property:
Host a local wine tasting featuring Cooper Mountain Vineyards which produces 100% biodynamic and organic wines from a vineyard just a couple of miles away from the cabin.
Since this property can be booked for less than $500 for the entire day, it’ll fit right into your budget.
TIP: To get the most out of your budget, host two events in one day, such as a volunteer appreciation event from 9am - 1pm and a donor event from 2pm - 6pm.

3) Tinis - Stylish flex space for large groups!
Does the name Tinis make you think of martinis? Well, it should, because this fun colorful space is actually a working bar! As you can see in the photos, there is a lot of personality in this space and donors would have so much fun posing for photos with the funky art backdrop on the walls. And since the space comes equipped with a projector, you can run a photo montage of your organization’s work while people mingle.
A unique way to engage donors at this property:
Create a fun drink inspired by your organization’s mission and serve it to your guests. Better yet, send out of poll ahead of the event and have guests vote on their favorite to engage them before the day of the event.
TIP: Stick to creative mocktails to avoid the headaches of OLCC permits.
If you fill the 50-person capacity of this awesome commercial space, the price breaks down to only $10 per guest!
4) Beautiful, inviting, and inspiring home in Moreland/Sellwood
This stunning three-level home has window-lined walls facing out to the beautiful Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge and Willamette River. The downstairs has a cozy fireplace and comfy couch perfect for letting guests relax and get to know each other. The main floor of the house is filled with natural light and a large table where people can gather and network with each other.
A unique way to engage donors at this property:
Because of all the different areas of the home, there’s ample opportunity to showcase different pillars of your nonprofit mission and create “themed” rooms around the house. Donors can walk through the space and deepen their connection and knowledge of the work you do and even meet different representatives for each theme.
Tip: Connect with us if the capacity of this space doesn’t work for your event, we might be able to pull some strings!
5) Restored Midcentury Modern
Tucked away on a quiet street in Cedar Hills this space will definitely make your donors say “wow” when they step through the front door and see the baby grand piano and large conversation pit style living room. This midcentury modern home is a unique and intimate setting to gather a small group of donors to connect with individually.
A unique way to engage donors at this property:
Because of the large kitchen and prep area, this space is a perfect place to host a private chef and give your donors an intimate dinner party experience. This would give you an opportunity to deepen relationships and really set apart your organization.
