Host Spotlight: Kim on the Central Eastside

Meet Radious host, Kim! After exploring the United States in a camper van for three-months, Kim decided to make Portland her permanent home. Kim had been working in customer service and hospitality since 2006, but before her Nationwide road trip, she left her hotel job. Upon arrival in Portland, she landed a job as the office and facilities manager at a creative agency called Happylucky. There, she keeps the office in order and all of the employees well taken care of. She may have left her hotel job but the hospitality part is in her bones.

Happylucky is a creative agency that produces events, creates advertising campaigns, does package design, and a whole lot more for companies across the globe/country/region. They have proclaimed themselves, “a bunch of lovable weirdos” and are driven by such noble causes as diversity, inclusion, and sustainability.

Happylucky has a unique 2-level building in Portland where they occupy the upstairs. The downstairs is more of a flexspace that a few companies rent. One large room has been dedicated to Radious guests, enabling day-to-day rentals for meetings, presentations, and side-by-side work. This 10-personroom has a private entrance and a bit of a “mad scientist” vibe; the decor includes a bunch of tiny test tubes and a row of shrinking beakers filled with mysterious moon dirt! Once folks have finished taking part in presentations on the 80" 4k TV, the large conference table transforms into a ping pong table for post-meeting fun!! The whole office has a unique vibe that Kim says visitors are constantly commenting on.

Kim is at the office each day, and is always available to accommodate the needs of anyone renting the room. Kim is excited to share this space and provide another way for folks to be together in a working environment again. You can check out her cute space here.
